TCS is looking for a highly motivated, organized, driven, and collaborative Mechanical Assembler I. The Mechanical Assembler I, builds, troubleshoots, and tests telemetry tracking antennas, antenna subassemblies, and related equipment. This role follows assembly instructions and drawings, performs inspections and testing, and helps ensure products are assembled correctly and meet quality standards. The position also maintains accurate records and follows all safety procedures. While achieving cost savings objectives and maintaining compliance with company policies and ISO quality standards.

This position is to be filled onsite in Chatsworth, CA. No employer visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Telemetry Tracking Antennas Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electro Mechanical Subassemblies, and Mechanical related hardware using basic hand tools, power tools, and electrical tools in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and supervisor guidance.
• Read, interpret, and follow mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, specifications, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate assembly and product quality.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist in resolving assembly issues by working closely with Mechanical Lead, Engineering, Electrical Assembly, Planning, and other production personnel.
• Inspect components and assemblies during the build process and promptly report defects, nonconforming materials, tooling issues, or process concerns to the Lead, Manager, or Engineering team.
• Package completed components and assemblies for shipment by preparing boxes, crates, and pallets in accordance with shipping and handling requirements.
• Communicate inventory shortages, damaged materials, or stock discrepancies to the Lead or Supervisor to support uninterrupted production.
• Accurately record labor hours and task status in the Costpoint timekeeping system to support project tracking, scheduling, and billing requirements.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and schedule objectives while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow direction from Lead and Managers while supporting team goals and production related tasks and priorities.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Experience with mechanical or electromechanical assembly.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments and assembly drawings.
• 3+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Deltek Costpoint or other timekeeping ERP systems is a plus.

This position will be working directly on a contract with the U.S. Government which requires all employees performing these functions to be U.S. Citizens. This position is contingent on the applicant providing proof of U.S. Citizenship.

TCS is looking for a highly motivated, organized, driven and collaborative Electro-Mechanical QC. Reporting to the TCS Operations Manager.

This position is to be filled onsite in Chatsworth, CA. No employer visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test completed cable, PCB, electronic, and mechanical assemblies for functionality, workmanship, and compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Perform electrical and mechanical testing using multimeters, hand tools, measuring equipment, and other applicable test equipment.
• Inspect cable assemblies for proper routing, termination, connector installation, labeling, and overall workmanship.
• Verify assemblies against engineering drawings, schematics, bills of material, and work instructions.
• Identify, document, and report defects, material issues, tooling concerns, and process discrepancies to the Supervisor and Engineering.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving assembly and testing issues in coordination with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality personnel.
• Label and identify cables, reflectors, PIUs, and other assemblies in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications.
• Assemble and affix crosses to Sub-Reflector panels by cutting, taping, and positioning them as specified.
• Optimize PIU layouts by determining appropriate wire routing and securing methods.
• Complete required inspection, testing, and production documentation accurately.
• Communicate material shortages and production issues to the Supervisor for resolution.
• Accurately record time spent on assigned tasks and projects in Costpoint’s daily time tracking system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following applicable ESD, safety, and quality requirements.
• Meet established quality, productivity, and schedule requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned for Quality and Production Related Duties assigned by Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, inspection, testing, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Basic understanding of electrical, electronic, and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience using basic electrical and mechanical inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify assembly and workmanship issues.
• Ability to follow detailed written procedures and accurately document test and inspection results.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality personnel.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Experience inspecting and testing cable and wire harness assemblies.

Tasks include (but not limited to) system level design and project management, board level hardware development, embedded firmware and software development, and hands-on test & debug.  Good communication and interpersonal skills are highly desirable, as well as a tenacious mindset to solve difficult and challenging issues.

Reporting to the TCS Operations Manager, is responsible for the scheduling, coordination, planning, and oversight of assigned production activities and functional product lines to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing processes, appropriate inventory levels, and effective utilization of production resources.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, manage, monitor, and relieve Manufacturing Orders (MOs) for assigned production and engineering-related products.
• Ensure Manufacturing Orders are accurately established and maintained, including required quantities, materials, operations, schedules, and other applicable production requirements.
• Monitor the status and progress of open Manufacturing Orders and take appropriate action to ensure jobs remain on schedule and are completed accurately and timely.
• Relieve and complete Manufacturing Orders upon completion of production activities, ensuring all required transactions and documentation are accurately recorded in the planning system.
• Create and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, production capacity, priorities, and customer requirements.
• Manage and plan assigned functional product lines, including production requirements, priorities, schedules, resource availability, and overall job status.
• Monitor inventory levels and material requirements to ensure adequate inventory is available to support production schedules and minimize shortages or excess inventory.

• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve material, scheduling, Manufacturing Order, and production-related issues.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and adjust production plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand, priorities, material availability, or production capacity.
• Assist the Operations Manager with various production-related tasks, projects, and operational activities as assigned. Building, buying, and issuing inventory to MOs.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, materials management, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools; Costpoint experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing Orders, work orders, production scheduling, inventory management, and material requirements.
• Ability to create, issue, manage, monitor, and relieve Manufacturing Orders accurately and efficiently.

TCS is looking for a highly motivated, organized, driven and collaborative Buyer. The buyer is responsible for procurement and materials management activities including supplier sourcing, purchasing negotiations, purchase order administration, inventory management, supplier performance management, and on-time delivery monitoring. Ensures material availability to support production requirements while achieving cost savings objectives and maintaining compliance with company policies and ISO quality standards.

This position is to be filled onsite in Chatsworth, CA. No employer visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and solicit quotes from qualified vendors.
• Generate and administer Purchase Orders (POs), including pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, lead times, freight, and other purchasing terms to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock locations, order points, and order quantities to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, inventory reconciliation’s, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Track POs and supplier commitments; expedite shortages and past-due orders.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery, responsiveness, and overall performance.
• Coordinate vendor and carrier shipments to ensure timely delivery to TCS.
• Work with Operations and Scheduling to ensure materials are available to support production requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and delivery information in the ERP system.
• Support Accounts Payable with invoice and purchasing discrepancies.
• Assist the Operations Manager with production-related tasks and other operational activities as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and ISO quality standards.
• Accurately record time in Costpoint and meet established productivity and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately manage purchase orders, inventory records, and supplier information.
• Working knowledge of purchasing, procurement, supply management, inventory control, and supplier management practices.
• Proven ability to negotiate pricing, lead times, freight, and other supplier terms based on budget, production requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Ability to analyze RFQs, quotes, inventory requirements, supplier commitments, and delivery information to support purchasing decisions.
• Ability to monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or discrepancies, and maintain appropriate stock levels to support production.
• Ability to establish priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
